Friday, October 15

Walking Tour to the U.S.S. Midway
1–5 p.m.
Cost: $35.50 per guest

Guests will be guided along Harbor Drive with their tour guide and will visit several monuments and statues on route to the U.S.S. Midway. From the Bob Hope Memorial to the famous “kiss” statue, your guests will get a great historical introduction to San Diego. Then you will board the impressive 1,001-foot U.S.S. Midway. On Saturday morning, January 10, 2004, the majestic Midway made her final journey from North Island Naval Station to her final berth at the Navy Pier. Commissioned in 1945, she served proudly during the Korean War, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf, all the way up to 1992. She served as the naval flagship during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. The lead ship of her class, she was the first aircraft carrier built that was too large to pass through the Panama Canal. The Midway inspired all who served on her and now her “Midway Magic” continues to inspire visitors from around the world and chronicles the achievements and sacrifices of those who defended our nation.

Segway Tour of the Gaslamp Quarter and Balboa Park

The Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego is steeped in history and is a great adventure for your Segway tour. From the days of Wyatt Earp to today, your guests will have a fun, exhilarating tour throughout this downtown area, which boasts over 150 restaurants, boutiques and galleries. Guests will be “trained” and taught how to ride their Segway, an incredible two-wheeled personal transporter. Once the Segway has been mastered, guests are off and wheeling their way with a tour guide through the Embarcadero, downtown San Diego, and up to Balboa Park. Yoga

You will experience mental and physical rejuvenation when a certified Yoga instructor introduces you to the inner peace of Yoga. This course offers an introduction to Yoga with a brief history and will show you some of the fundamental principles and positions. You will gain an understanding of how to use your breath to release negative energy and stress, and in turn begin to foster positive energy in your daily life, both through simple stretches to do at the office or modified positions to do at home. You will leave your Yoga experience feeling refreshed and interconnected through a common mindset of peace and calmness. Yoga mat will be provided.

Tour of Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala and Historic Old Town

Classic Coronado Walking Tour

Coronado is home to North Island Naval Air Station and the Naval Amphibious Base, the historic Hotel Del Coronado, and great shopping at the Coronado Ferry Landing. The great lady, the Hotel Del Coronado, holds court at the south end of the city. The Del, as it is lovingly known, is a National Historic Landmark that dates back to 1888. Architectural Walking Tour of Balboa Park

This tour highlights Balboa Park – a special place where you can experience San Diego’s natural beauty, wonderful art and culture, and stunning Spanish Revival architecture. The historic Botanical Building is one of the largest lath structures in the world. The view of the Botanical Building, with its lily pond in the foreground, is one of the most photographed scenes in Balboa Park. The park’s landmark tree is the Moreton Bay Fig, which grows north of the Natural History Museum. This tree, planted before 1915, is over 60 feet tall with a spread of 120 feet. The walking tour encompasses San Diego’s most beautiful architecture and the city’s largest gardens.
